Rahul was dismissed for 49 runs off 33 balls. His wicket came in Chetan Sakariya’s account. Earlier, RR had dropped 3 easy catches by the Punjab captain. In the same match, RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was also dismissed for 49. This is the first time in IPL that two players have returned to the pavilion on the score of 49.

Arshdeep got 5 wickets

Lomror’s stormy innings
Mahipal Lomror scored 24 runs against Deepak Hooda in the 16th over of RR’s innings with the help of two sixes and two fours. Arshdeep Singh put the brake on Lomror’s innings and he returned to the pavilion after scoring 43 runs in just 17 balls. Batting with a strike rate of 252.94, Lomror hit two fours and four sixes.
RR’s first wicket fell as Lewis
In the fourth over of the match, Evin Lewis hit four fours one after the other against Ishan Porel. He was looking aggressive, but Arshdeep Singh got him out and gave Punjab the first success. The second blow to RR came in the form of captain Sanju Samson (4). His wicket came in the account of debutant Ishaan Porel. Jaiswal and Liam Livingstone then added 48 runs for the third wicket. This partnership was broken by Arshdeep Singh and returned to the pavilion at Livingstone (25). Boundary line Fabian Allen takes a brilliant catch from Livingstone.
Jaiswal missed half century
Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant innings of 49 runs in 36 balls. Jaiswal may have missed his maiden IPL half-century, but he impressed everyone with his batting. He hit 6 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His wicket came in Harpreet Brar’s account. Rahul Tewatia (2) was bowled by Shami and showed the way out of the field in Rajasthan Vs Punjab match.
Mohammed Shami became the fourth bowler for Punjab Kings to take 50 IPL wickets.
